It was so unexpected. It was a bit of a challenge. But in the end, it was crazy fun. It involved blending two ideas into one. A few months before, Teresa (the model) and I had talked about doing a suspender shoot – a little vogue and a little chic. But then my friend George came into the picture. At an event, he asked me if I wanted to do a photo shoot at his construction site. It was totally out of the blue. Always loving to shoot at locations with a cool setting, of course, I said, “yes”.
"The high-rise shoot was the epitome of ‘anything for the shot!’ The weather was a torrential downpour and it was freezing. Instead of being disappointed, our mindset was to use the rain and environment to our advantage." - Teresa Lynn, model
When I visited the site to get a feel for it and decide what I would do, I spotted these fluorescent work suspenders and thought they would be perfect for the suspender shoot. I am always about collaboration with the models I work with, so when I conferred with Teresa about doing the suspender-themed shoot at the construction site, she loved it. Thus, the two ideas blended into one unique photo shoot.
